Welcome to our site!
The original impetus for this site was to chronicle the
journey we were undertaking to adopt our daughter from China.
As time goes on we are adding more Kerber-centric content (check out
the 2006 link at left for updated pictures). The picture below
has special sentiment for us, it is the first moment we saw our daughter
Lily in person. This picture was taken at the Civil Affairs Office in Nanjing
on November 29, 2004. Lily is holding the hand of her primary caregiver
from the orphanage.
About Us Now- August 2007
We are the Kerber family. Steve,
Lisa, Emily and Lily. We live in a small town in central Mass. Steve
is in the Hi tech industry, in other words a geek.
I am a stay at home Mum, I used to work for a
publishing company until I took "early retirement"
to spend more time with our family, namely our
daughter Emily, who is now about to start 7th grade. She
will be 13 soon and is gorgeous, and Lily turns 4 in
a few weeks and is
a pistol! We have a cairn terrier
dog named Maggie, who is almost 7 (and is still not house
trained). Uh Hmmm. That's another story.
We live a pretty regular suburban life.
Parts of this site will take you through the
laborious months of paper chasing, to the heady days
of our referral, to the wonderful trip to China to
bring home our beautiful baby. We are adding
updated pages and pictures as our adventures continue.
